Grace Herzog, The Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC)
Grace Herzog is a student in the class of 2027 from St. Louis, Missouri double majoring in Journalism and Political Science with a minor in Asian American Studies. As a transracial adoptee who grew up in a predominantly white area, she is very interested in the dynamics of race and geographical space, immigration law and policies, and highlighting underrepresented stories in media and academic spaces. On campus, she is a part of Mayfest Productions, a Tour Guide Coordinator, a part of Greek Life, and a Peer Advisor for Wildcat Welcome. After graduating, she plans to attend law school specializing in immigration law after taking a few gap years.
Grace spent the summer working for the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC). CAPAC is composed of Members of Congress of Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander descent and members who have a strong dedication to promoting the well-being of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community. Currently chaired by Congresswoman Grace Meng, CAPAC has been addressing the needs of the AANHPI community in all areas of American life since it was founded in 1994. CAPAC is non-partisan and bicameral.
