Esther Lian, Office of California State Assemblymember Mike Fong
Esther Lian is a third-year student majoring in Journalism and Asian American Studies, with a minor in Legal Studies. She is passionate about advancing language accessibility and promoting justice, particularly for Asian American immigrants and other marginalized racial communities.
Esther spent the past summer working in the Office of California State Assemblymember Mike Fong, who represents one of the few predominantly Asian Assembly districts in the state. In this role, she supported district campaigns, contributed to press reports, and helped design strategies to gather community feedback and identify unmet local needs.
